Yogurt- Yes give your gliders yogurt, they love it, mine love the Strawberry-Banana Activa yogurt plus I noticed a lot less diarrhea when they switched to this yogurt. This is a good source for Protein, and calcium plus lots of vitamins.
Gliderade- In nature these insectivorous mammals consume large quantities of nectar and pollen. They have a great need for carbohydrates because of their high metabolism. Gliderade provides this important nutritional element as well as easily assimilated double-cracked bee pollen. When is it especially important to use supplemented Vitamins, Minerals and Antioxidants:
1)During Stress - When you are traveling with your pet or boarding them in a pet store or kennel.
2)During Growth Stages - During the first year of development.
3)During Illness - Supplements help in the recovery process.
4)During Pregnancy or in heat - Breeders know this fact, pregnant mother need more nutrition.
Gliderade is a must for any sugar glider owner and it's easy to do. Place the recommended amount of water in a bowl and mi powder.
Insects- You can feed your Glider Mealworms, Crickets. The mealworms should be put in a deep smooth bowl to keep them in it. The crickets should be placed in the freezer to chill them so they don't escape the cage. Remember coat the crickets with the calcium dust.
Hind-leg paralysis is caused when the glider becomes deficient in calcium or vitamin D3 (necessary to process calcium) or has too much phosphorus in relation to calcium in their diet and the body takes calcium from the bones until they become brittle and break.
Dry Foods- You can feed a Sugar Glider dry food. Or Zoo-med Parrot Food.
Do Not Feed your sugar glider Cat Food, Dog Food, Or any other Small Pet Food. The Cat Food and dog food contain ingredients harmful to your sugar glider.
